If you are considering a change in career, if you are considering becoming a professional florist then this is the school that will equip you with all the business knowledge not just the artistic side of flower arranging. Or maybe you are just in need of up dating your skills in the business of floristry, whether running your business or designing.
At the end of the course you will receive a CD with photos of all your work, so you will have your professional portfolio ready to enter the business of floristry world. You will be visiting New Covent Garden, and furnished with contacts of all possible florist sundries and other wholesale suppliers.
Work experience is offered to students who wish to, and of course have completed the course.
Also remember, we take an average of 5 students per course only.

Theory:
Your own premises, Freelance florist, contract work, how to buy, how to sell, how to chose your containers, be glass or clay, baskets or synthetic. How to present and gift-wrap. Florist - client relationship, costing, marketing your business, your website and much more.
Practice:
from the basics of floristry, to wedding, funeral, contract, parties and event work. Hand-tied, in oasis, from the smallest posies to the largest pedestal, wired wedding bouquets and headdress, buttonholes and corsages. Topiary trees and much, much more whether in glass or clay.
Our courses cover all aspects of Floristry Design and will include the most up to date techniques. Specifically, students will be instructed in the principles of design, the importance of symmetry and of colour co-ordination and will be followed by instruction in creative practical arrangements suitable throughout the home and in commercial situations. Emphasis will be placed on developing the skills necessary to create inspirational designs for those special occasions such as dinner parties, weddings, functions, funeral wreaths/ arrangements etc. Should you wish to pursue a career working with flowers, Out of the Bloom will ensure that you are well equipped to take up employment as a professional florist, whether open your own shop, work from home or for someone else
